FanTR has demonstrated its expertise in advanced engineering with the design and construction of the Wind Tunnel at the SENAI Institute for Innovation in Renewable Energies (ISI-ER), located in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte - the leading state in wind energy generation in Brazil.
Designed to meet the strategic demands of the renewable energy sector, the tunnel has a test section of 1 meter by 1 meter, capacity for aerodynamic tests of up to 25 m/s and an interchangeable configuration, allowing operations in an open or closed section, increasing its versatility for different types of experiments.
The project integrated state-of-the-art simulation technologies, using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) in Ansys CFX/Fluent® for aerodynamic optimizations and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) in Ansys Structural® for structural validation, guaranteeing precision in the structure's performance and reliability.
The ISI-ER Wind Tunnel offers fundamental support to the renewable energy market, enabling services such as calibration of anemometers and direction sensors, as well as allowing experimental validation of fluid dynamic and load models, essential for the technological advancement of wind energy.
FanTR is proud to have been responsible for the development, design and manufacture of this wind tunnel, consolidating its technical competence and commitment to high-performance solutions that drive strategic sectors of national industry.
